Wedding Wednesday: Pantone’s Colorstrology Color of the Day: Crocus

Happy Wedding Wednesday! This week’s installment is inspired by Pantone’s Colorstrology Color of the Day: Crocus. “…embodies the qualities of light and joy. Wearing, meditating, or surrounding yourself with Crocus motivates you to connect with others on a heart-level and keeps you from becoming too serious or intense.” -http://www.pantone.com/pages/MYP_mypantone/mypColorstrology.aspx

Using this hue as a basis for a Springtime color palette, I took some time to look at its namesake and was inspired to add both yellow and white as complementary colors to this lovely and bright purple.

As I look out my window, I see a winter wonderland of snow (we got about 18 inches the other day and about two more inches on Monday) with the sun shining overhead. I am grateful for “nature’s glitter,” but also look forward to the coming months as the snow melts and ceases, the ground is green once again, and beautiful crocus begin to peek their way out of the earth.
