Today, I have one glamtastic bit of purple and lavender inspiration for you. When I came across this lavender gown, I knew I had to put a board together for it. Monochromatic decor is very on-trend for weddings this year (see the Winter edition of The Knot) and if you are a fan of purple, then this monochromatic glam inspiration is perfect for you.
In addition, I have some great lavender and purple bits and bobs from the participants of the Etsy Virtual Bridal Show to get you started on all of that wedding shopping. Speaking of the show, this year’s show will debut here on the Belle Memorie blog on Monday, March 18th. This year it’s bigger and better than ever with over 440 shops and LOTS of custom and one of a kind finds to help you make your wedding just as beautiful as your love. So, mark your calendars and enjoy your day!
Well lookie lookie, it’s Springtime…the time after all of those who got engaged over the Winter holidays venture out to begin the adventure that is wedding planning. How are all of those bridal shows treating you? As a bride, I found the big box bridal shows are quite helpful for locating vendors such as bakeries, caterers, rentals, etc., but all of the wedding style bits and bobs leave me saying, “not so much.” I want my wedding to express who my fiance and I are as a couple and as individuals. I want an “authentically you wedding do” as my tagline reads. So, what’s a couple to do when you prefer a wedding with personalized touches? Well, that’s what the Etsy Virtual Bridal Show is all about!
On March 18th, the Etsy Virtual Bridal Show Team takes over the blog for two weeks as we present our best handmade wedding creations and super fab vintage wedding finds to help you create that one of a kind “authentically you wedding do!” This is our biggest and best year yet with over 440 Etsy shops! We are talking everything from bespoke couture gowns, rustic woodland details, and one of a kind bridal jewelry. The Etsy Virtual Bridal Show has got you covered.
So, how’s about a little sneak peek? Don’t forget to mark your calendars for March 18th!
Hello and a happy weekend to you! Here is a bit of the latest creations from Etsy Virtual Bridal Show Team Members. The collection of talent we have never ceases to amaze me.
I hope you all have a lovely weekend and for those of us in America, please remember that Monday isn’t National BBQ Day, but a day to remember those who have given their life in military service. A nice way to honor them, light a simple candle in their memory and make it part of your party. I also wish to say a big thank you to our veterans and their families as well as active and reserve duty military for your service.
Happy Saturday! I hope you are all enjoying your weekend. Today I have a new member of the Etsy Virtual Bridal Team, Tres Mariposas Couture, to share with you.
“Tres Mariposas Couture was born out of the love I have to craft. I am a mother to 3 beautiful daughters my everyday inspirations, My oldest now 12 was born with just a bit of hair to my surprise. In my culture baby girls are adorned from head to toe! I remember to this day my mother in law teaching me how to make custom hand braided headbands one of every possible color of which now is one of my signature looks- I have since then made custom pieces for family, friends and friends of friends. I decided to open shop when the opportunity to stay home came last year and since then it has been a phenomenal experience. The Bridal Couture Collection was launched this Spring as an introduction to a bigger collection that is currently being worked on! I love everything about weddings and how you envision your wedding party is very important to many brides to be. My inspirations come in many different ways, from envisioning a thematic wedding and all the possibilities to standing in mist of flowers at my local supplier and planning what to do with every single one of them! I enjoy creating one of a kind pieces where no two are alike as your wedding day! I love helping brides bring their visions to reality and creating custom orders to perfectly match any wedding theme. I feel blessed to wake up every morning and do what I love the most -be mom to 3 girls and create beautiful pieces.” -Joselynne

Enjoy the rest of your weekend and come back on Monday for some fabulous findings. ๐
Welcome back to the Second Annual Etsy Virtual Bridal Show! Here is part two of five (yes, FIVE!) posts on bouquets and florals, including DIY tutorials, bespoke fabulous creations, and uber cool bouquet alternatives.
I began the Etsy Virtual Bridal Show last year to support individual artisans and vendors and to provide couples with alternatives to the mass produced wedding finds out there is traditional stores. The bridal world is evolving and growing away from the expected and moving toward individual craftsmanship and DIY touches. What’s great about Etsy is that you too can have a handmade look to your wedding without sacrificing your fingerprints to your hot glue gun.
In addition to helping individually owned shops, I wanted to bring awareness to my chosen charity: Wish Upon A Wedding. โWish Upon a Wedding is a nonprofit 501 (c) (3) organization that provides weddings and vow renewals to couples facing terminal illness or other serious life-altering circumstances, regardless of sexual orientation. Often, couples facing such situations do not have the energy, time, money, or resources needed to plan their wedding. Our organization takes care of all the details, offering couples a chance to relax and enjoy a very special day while surrounded by the love of their closest family and friends.โ -www.wishuponawedding.org
Please note that donations are not required to view or for vendors participate in the show. This is my labor of love to bring awareness to Wish Upon A Wedding and my belief in supporting small businesses and individual artisans. If you feel led to help Wish Upon A Wedding accomplish their mission, please see Wish Upon A Wedding’s donation page.
