If you are wary about ordering a custom dress, I can assure you that you won’t be sorry. Check out a shop’s feedback and see how many satisfied customers they have. Don’t be afraid to ask for what you want, even if it’s a bit non-traditional. Work with the shop and trust that they are experts at what they do. I ordered my own wedding jacket from an awesome Etsy vendor. I gave her my measurements and when it arrived, perfection.
I began the Etsy Virtual Bridal Show last year to support individual artisans and vendors and to provide couples with alternatives to the mass produced wedding finds out there is traditional stores. The bridal world is evolving and growing away from the expected and moving toward individual craftsmanship and DIY touches.
