Saturday’s Latest: Real Size Bride and Anjay Designs, Etsy Virtual Bridal Show Team Roundup

Today’s Saturday’s Latest welcomes two new members to the Etsy Virtual Bridal Show Team: Real Size Bride and Anjay Designs.

Real Size Bride specializes in glamorous bridal gowns for the plus size bride. “Real Size Bride offers cutting edgy wedding dress styles: short dress, slits, backless, feather and dresses with dramatic necklines to emphasize the true beauty of a woman on the happiest day of her life. RSB specifically carries sizes 10-30…with no extra charge for additional sizes, like virtually all designers do. The same applies to added and lengths for the taller bride.” -http://www.etsy.com/people/RealSizeBride

Anjay Designs has created some of the most unique and romantic wedding jewelry I’ve ever seen. Their “Spring Collection” is influenced by nature and in addition to the already beautiful stones, the collection features leaves, flowers, and my favorite, butterflies. Anjay has been a jewelry designer for over 25 years.”Since diamonds are forever, here at Anjays Designs, I hope that I can provide all my customers with an eternity of joy and happiness.” -http://www.etsy.com/people/anjaysdesigns

Monday’s Finding: Rustic Diamonds: Rough and Uncut

Rough, uncut, unpolished diamonds are making their way in to the jewelry world as a beautifully rustic alternative to the typical shiny diamond found in most jewelry collections. Personally, I have never really been a fan of diamonds. I have always preferred gem stones (amethysts in particular) to the colorless diamond. It wasn’t until a month or so ago while skipping through Etsy that I first saw raw diamonds. They intrigued me and my rustic loving self finally had found diamonds I finally liked. These stones are beautiful when set for an engagement ring, wedding bands, bridal jewelry, and a great complement to a little black party dress.

So, I present to you an Etsy treasury filled with items from various artisans and two of my favorite rough cut diamond jewelers: Diamond in the Rough founded by Daniel Eskapa who uses using conflict free, certified, natural rough diamonds and a local fave of mine, Todd Reed of Boulder, CO.

Tips or Trends Tuesday: Sustainable Wedding Trends

Today’s “Tips or Trends Tuesday” comes from OneWed’s “Top Sustainable, Eco-Chic Wedding Trends.” Of these trends, my favorite one is the use of conflict free diamonds or completely doing away with diamonds and going for gemstones. The wedding industry is taking notice of the need to take gentle care of our environment as well as becoming aware of human rights violations that take place in countries where diamonds and other gemstones are mined. Consider rings that are conflict free or better yet a vintage ring. Here are some rings from Brilliant Earth, who sell conflict free jewelry of all types:
