Saturday’s Latest: Welcome Sarafina Dreams and Team Roundup

Today, I’d like to welcome Sarafina Dreams to the Etsy Virtual Bridal Show Team! I adore Janie’s classic lingerie designs in beautiful flowy fabrics. I have to say that my favorite piece is the oversized men’s shirt romper. I hope you enjoy Saragina Dreams and the latest from the team. 🙂

“Sarafina Dreams is the manifestation of all the lingerie designs constantly dancing through my mind. I love lingerie and have been in the business for years. It was my dream to have my own line and it’s so much fun to watch as each piece becomes a reality. I adore full sweeping gowns, silky nylon, silk knits and cotton. A lot of my inspiration comes from vintage 30’s and 40’s silhouettes and my love of global textiles. Fabric is always an inspiration. Besides my gowns and robes I also do custom and altered couture bridal petticoats. Etsy is a great place for me to be able to flourish as an artist and designer.” -Sarafina Dreams’ Etsy profile

Saturday’s Latest: A Fab New Etsy Find For the Stretched Lobed Bride: Arksendeavors and Weekly Team Roundup

I am super duper excited to show you that even us stretched lobed brides can find gorgeous bridal ear wear. I’m currently at 1/2″ and working toward 1″ all due to Arksendeavors. When I first got engaged, I knew that my selection of ear jewelry would be just about nil. I searched high and low for a pair of wedding worthy plugs via my go to shops and none had anything that could stand up to my Mom’s triple strand of pearls. I had resigned myself to naked ears on my wedding day, that is until I came across Arksendeavors.

Arksendeavors is run by Amanda, who started experimenting with resin to create special occasion plugs for those of us with modified lobes. When I took a peek at Amanda’s shop, I was so excited and relieved that someone out there was thinking of us non-conformist brides. In fact, I am actually stretching my ears further, because I now know I can find beautiful plugs that will complement my Mom’s pearls.

From pearls, to crystals and cameos, Arksendeavors has your lobes covered!

Here’s the latest and greatest from the Etsy Virtual Bridal Show Team. Enjoy your weekend!

Etsy Virtual Bridal Show: Day 5, Bridal Jewelry (3 of 3)

Welcome back to the Second Annual Etsy Virtual Bridal Show! This afternoon we present to you more sparkle and shine in the Bridal Jewelry category. Here is our final post of the day. Don’t forget to sign yourself up for today’s giveaways in part one and two as well as Monday’s and Wednesday’s giveaways!

I began the Etsy Virtual Bridal Show last year to support individual artisans and vendors and to provide couples with alternatives to the mass produced wedding finds out there is traditional stores. The bridal world is evolving and growing away from the expected and moving toward individual craftsmanship and DIY touches. What’s great about Etsy is that you too can have a handmade look to your wedding without sacrificing your fingerprints to your hot glue gun.

In addition to helping individually owned shops, I wanted to bring awareness to my chosen charity: Wish Upon A Wedding. “Wish Upon a Wedding is a nonprofit 501 (c) (3) organization that provides weddings and vow renewals to couples facing terminal illness or other serious life-altering circumstances, regardless of sexual orientation. Often, couples facing such situations do not have the energy, time, money, or resources needed to plan their wedding. Our organization takes care of all the details, offering couples a chance to relax and enjoy a very special day while surrounded by the love of their closest family and friends.” -www.wishuponawedding.org

Please note that donations are not required to view or for vendors participate in the show. This is my labor of love to bring awareness to Wish Upon A Wedding and my belief in supporting small businesses and individual artisans. If you feel led to help Wish Upon A Wedding accomplish their mission, please see Wish Upon A Wedding’s donation page.
