Friday’s Favorites: Bridal Bow Trend, Beyond the Ordinary Escort Cards, and Blush Pink

Well, we’ve made it another week. Here at Belle Memorie headquarters it’s been a doozy: I’ve had a flare up in my Fibromyalgia and our building is getting a new roof. It looks like my body is going to cooperate with my weekend plans, which is definitely a blessing. As for the roof, crossing my fingers that it will be done today…please…pretty please let it be done today. Thankfully, I don’t have to pay for it…lol.

This week’s Friday’s Favorites features lots of beautiful bow detailed wedding dresses and gorgeous blush pink dresses for your maids, uniting two of the biggest trends in bridal. In addition, some great unique escort cards and escort card displays and blush/antique pink wedding accessories that you won’t find in an ordinary bridal shop.

There are a lot of folks committing to purchase handmade artisan gifts for their loved ones this year and as a bridal expert, blogger, and bride, I can’t say enough good things about taking that same commitment with your wedding. Monday’s Finding: Winter Save the Dates and Invites

This week the blog is all about Winter weddings. I thought I’d start the week off with some of my favorite Winter save the dates and invitations. Seriously, how cute are those snow dome save the dates?

You should send your save the dates about six to nine months prior to your wedding just to give guests a heads up. They are especially handy for your out of town guests that will have to make travel arrangements. As for invitations, you should ideally mail them out two months in advance (six weeks is the latest). Enjoy these faves of mine and come back the rest of this week for more winter wedding ideas.

Saturday’s Latest: A Fab New Etsy Find For the Stretched Lobed Bride: Arksendeavors and Weekly Team Roundup

I am super duper excited to show you that even us stretched lobed brides can find gorgeous bridal ear wear. I’m currently at 1/2″ and working toward 1″ all due to Arksendeavors. When I first got engaged, I knew that my selection of ear jewelry would be just about nil. I searched high and low for a pair of wedding worthy plugs via my go to shops and none had anything that could stand up to my Mom’s triple strand of pearls. I had resigned myself to naked ears on my wedding day, that is until I came across Arksendeavors.

Arksendeavors is run by Amanda, who started experimenting with resin to create special occasion plugs for those of us with modified lobes. When I took a peek at Amanda’s shop, I was so excited and relieved that someone out there was thinking of us non-conformist brides. In fact, I am actually stretching my ears further, because I now know I can find beautiful plugs that will complement my Mom’s pearls.

Our first shop in this category is Cute Maps. Why put some boring old directions and print outs from those map sites in with your beautiful invitations when you can have an adorable way to make sure your guests get where they are going? “Cute Maps can be sent as Save the Date postcards, invitation inserts or even the invitation itself. I think it took a total of 4 days from the time I contacted them with the design I wanted till they were at my door! Thanks so much!”

Here we have JK Designs. “Wow and just all around amazing! Fantastic quality for a great price. I was actually looking at some Vera Wang Save the dates before I came across Jamie’s shop, and when she sent me a sample her product knocked Vera out of the water. Jamie always responded to my questions quickly. Jamie also created, printed, and delivered my save the dates in record time. I would highly recommend her! She is fantastic and I loved working with her.”

Next on the show is Jennifer Raichman of Jennifer Raichman Ketubot and Invitations. “I print with a pigment ink called UltraChrome, which produces vibrant, fade-resistant colors. Ketubah designs are printed on acid-free 100% cotton rag paper designed specifically for fine art digital printmaking by Moab Paper Company. This paper has a soft matte finish, with a slight texture and produces bright natural-looking colors.” “Seller is an absolute pleasure to deal with Her constant attention to detail and professionalism was felt throughout the entire process. I purchased my Ketubah and two wedding blocks from her. She took my wedding theme and was able to incorporate it into both of these items amazingly I recommend her 110% and cannot wait to display my items on my wedding day I LOVE LOVE LOVE my items.”

Christa from Anista Designs says, “I complete each handmade item as though I would be giving it to someone myself. (I guess indirectly, I am!!)…Invitations are the first piece your guests receive and they set the tone for your event. She surpassed all expectations I had and I will be using her, and only her, for all my printing needs.
