Wedding Wednesday: Boho Beautiful Emerald and Mint Inspiration

Today’s Wedding Wednesday brings together two trending colors: the newly announced emerald by Pantone and mint, which made it’s premiere on the runways of Bridal Market. The two together make a gorgeous palette for any style of fete. I came across this gorgeous boho inspired mint gown and just had to base a board around it. Then, using the gorgeous emerald for the maids and in a natural woodsy setting, we end up with one beautiful bit of inspiration. I hope you like it as much as I do.

Friday’s Favorites- Etsy goodness based on this week’s posts: Loving the vintage cake toppers!

Happy Friday! My apologies on the lateness of this post. I have been battling a wicked migraine for most of the day and it is gladly dissipating. Mr. Wondermous was so wonderful to come home and take care of me and the kiddo. This is one of the reasons why I’m SO marrying that man this coming June!

Anyhoo, today’s favorites as always are based on this week’s posts and my favorite finds are all of these beautiful and cute vintage cake toppers. If you are having a vintage wedding, a vintage cake topper will bring that added bit of detail to your overall theme. After all, the cake is often the center of your reception and one of the biggest details your guests will remember after the party is over.

Then, I have a selection of handmade and vintage yellow gowns a la Amber Tamblyn. Yellow bridal gowns are definitely trending be it a 1950s tulle confection to a canary hued bit of couture.

Next, is a collection of whimsical woodland deer themed wedding bits and bobs. Merry Mint’s woodland pink invites are a delight and a bit different from the traditional woodsy hued creations.

Finally, we have a good bit of men’s fashion both vintage and bespoke. I must give a little shout out to Machete & Sons as they have supported the Etsy Virtual Bridal Show since its inception. Not to mention, they are one of my local faves when it comes to exceptionally tailored traditional suiting as well as suits perfect for a theme wedding.

Wedding Wednesday: Woodland Wedding Inspiration With Deer Details

There’s nothing like a woodland wedding to stir my soul. I’m of the nature loving sort and a mountain girl at heart. In my opinion, there is nothing like the smell of pine mixed with dark soil, the opportunity to witness a bit of wildlife, and the green of the forest floor to ground me and put me at ease. If you are of the same sort, then today’s inspiration board is for you.

Looking to plan a woodland wedding of your own? If so, keep the following in mind.

• Mother Nature has provided us with a glorious backdrop. So, keep additional decor to a minimum in order to maximize your surroundings.
• Decor should enhance and blend in with the scenery, not compete with it.
• Consider a dress without a train for your bridal ensemble.  Even a short train will collect a good deal of dirt. A sheath silhouette is a perfect complement to your woodsy nuptials.
• In your floral/decor design, use natural elements such as local wildflowers, toadstools and mushrooms, and fauna to provide your guests with a total environmental experience.
• For favors: jams made with local native fruits, locally produced honey, mini terrariums, or even a whimsical trinket such as a little gnome.

Friday’s Favorites: Lawn Games, Pirates, and Woodland Birdies

Thanks Goodness It’s Friday! Truer words were never said about the relief that comes with the approaching weekend. It’s been a bit of a stressful week and I’m looking forward to doing a whole lot of nothing this weekend.

This week’s favorites are extremely diverse to the point of dare I say…humor. Vintage lawn games are perfect for a wedding that doesn’t have a lot of dancers.
