Monday’s Finding: Sneak Peek: Third Annual Etsy Virtual Bridal Show

Well lookie lookie, it’s Springtime…the time after all of those who got engaged over the Winter holidays venture out to begin the adventure that is wedding planning. How are all of those bridal shows treating you? As a bride, I found the big box bridal shows are quite helpful for locating vendors such as bakeries, caterers, rentals, etc., but all of the wedding style bits and bobs leave me saying, “not so much.” I want my wedding to express who my fiance and I are as a couple and as individuals. I want an “authentically you wedding do” as my tagline reads. So, what’s a couple to do when you prefer a wedding with personalized touches? Well, that’s what the Etsy Virtual Bridal Show is all about!

On March 18th, the Etsy Virtual Bridal Show Team takes over the blog for two weeks as we present our best handmade wedding creations and super fab vintage wedding finds to help you create that one of a kind “authentically you wedding do!” This is our biggest and best year yet with over 440 Etsy shops! We are talking everything from bespoke couture gowns, rustic woodland details, and one of a kind bridal jewelry. The Etsy Virtual Bridal Show has got you covered.

So, how’s about a little sneak peek? Don’t forget to mark your calendars for March 18th!

Etsy Virtual Bridal Show: Day 2, Headpieces and Veils (2 of 3)

So, we meet again! Welcome to the Second Annual Etsy Virtual Bridal Show! Over the coming weeks, the Etsy Virtual Bridal Show Team will present the best of their handmade and vintage wares that are sure to give your wedding a unique and personal touch. Today’s shops feature gorgeous veils, headpieces, and even hair options for your special day. Here is part two of three posts that the show will have for today.

I began the Etsy Virtual Bridal Show last year to support individual artisans and vendors and to provide couples with alternatives to the mass produced wedding finds out there is traditional stores. The bridal world is evolving and growing away from the expected and moving toward individual craftsmanship and DIY touches. What’s great about Etsy is that you too can have a handmade look to your wedding without sacrificing your fingerprints to your hot glue gun.

In addition to helping individually owned shops, I wanted to bring awareness to my chosen charity: Wish Upon A Wedding. “Wish Upon a Wedding is a nonprofit 501 (c) (3) organization that provides weddings and vow renewals to couples facing terminal illness or other serious life-altering circumstances, regardless of sexual orientation. Often, couples facing such situations do not have the energy, time, money, or resources needed to plan their wedding. Our organization takes care of all the details, offering couples a chance to relax and enjoy a very special day while surrounded by the love of their closest family and friends.” -www.wishuponawedding.org

Please note that donations are not required to view or for vendors participate in the show. This is my labor of love to bring awareness to Wish Upon A Wedding and my belief in supporting small businesses and individual artisans. If you feel led to help Wish Upon A Wedding accomplish their mission, please see Wish Upon A Wedding’s donation page.

Legal Mumbo Jumbo:
While I am a volunteer with Wish Upon a Wedding, Belle Memorie is not an official representative of Wish Upon a Wedding. In addition, Belle Memorie is not an official representative of Etsy or the vendors featured in the show. I have sought permission from each and every vendor featured to use their products and their photos. Please do not use these photos for personal gain or copy the designs presented. These products are the livelihood, passion, and intellectual property of each artist and to copy these items or to use them for person gain is both illegal and unethical.

Etsy Virtual Bridal Show: Day 1, Bridal Gowns (3 of 3)

Here is the final part of the Bridal Gowns section. I hope you have enjoyed all of these gorgeous dresses and hopefully one that speaks to you. If you are wary about ordering a custom dress, I can assure you that you won’t be sorry. Check out a shop’s feedback and see how many satisfied customers they have. Don’t be afraid to ask for what you want, even if it’s a bit non-traditional. Work with the shop and trust that they are experts at what they do. I ordered my own wedding jacket from an awesome Etsy vendor. I gave her my measurements and when it arrived, perfection.

Whispers of Spring Bridal Show by West Wind

Photo courtesy of The Butterfly Pavillion

A great time at the “Whispers of Spring” bridal show presented by West Wind at the Butterfly Pavillion.  Stellar cuisine by A Spice of Life catering, amazing cake by Masterpiece Cake Shop, fun and delicious bellinis and margaritas from The Margarita Shop, beautiful doves by White Birds Unlimited, event decor by Indigo Sky, lovely music by Heart Strings Harps, great bagpiping by Colorado Celtic Weddings, inspired jewelry by Goddess Wisdom Jewelry, and special thanks to Simon of Dancing Cloud Photography for taking the best picture of me that I have ever seen (will post once I get it via email).  I highly recommend these vendors as well as this particular show for all of my brides.
