Are you dreading the idea of lugging a 25-pound dress on your wedding day? Don’t like dresses at all? Favor a more masculine look on your special day? Well, for those of you who would much rather skip the dress, but still retain that “bridal” look, I’ve got some great bridal pantsuit inspiration as well as straight off the runway finds I know you’ll love.
From Vera Wang to Roberto Cavalli, white/ivory pantsuits are a super chic way to be authentically you on your wedding day. Stay true to you and enjoy every moment feeling relaxed and comfortable in your wedding ensemble.
Happy Wedding Wednesday! What have you done for your wedding today? Me, I’m working on flowers made from the pages of “Pride and Prejudice” and watercolor painting them in a gradient blue from navy to sky. I’m really happy with how they are turning out. I’m one of those “don’t reveal too much” kind of brides, so you’ll have to wait until after June 8th to see them. 🙂
Today, I have some red and blush inspiration based on one swoon worthy gown by Jillian from their 2013 Sterlizia Collection. Gowns with print are fast becoming a trend and I have a feeling that we will see more of them at Spring Bridal Market. I love that so many designers are embracing what many brides want: a gown beyond the typical and this gown is anything but ordinary!
Take a peek and let me know if you have any requests for next Wedding Wednesday.

Bridal Guide’s 2013 trend list is out and one trend I not only love myself, but am seeing more and more of as of late: garlands. Garlands are great for decor and signage such as identifying the guest book table to a lovely backdrop for your sweetheart table. What I love about them is the texture, dimension and flexibility of display as opposed to your typical sign. They can adorn the chuppah, decorate the staircase, hang from chandeliers, or mark the aisle. Today, I have some of my favorite garlands via Pinterest and I hope you enjoy!
Last night’s Oscar red carpet saw some definite hits and misses. Okay, I’m going to get snarky here for a mo’. In my opinion, the major miss of the night was Anne Hathaway’s worst dressed trifecta in Prada: pointy nipples, too much side boob, and ill placed jewelry. Sure, there were others that were disheveled and dumpy, but I guess I expect more from Anne and the side boob trend is super tacky.
However, there were several ladies that stood out in trendsetting wedding worthy inspired frocks that I just have to show you. Check out the board below for the style I feel can easily translate in to gorgeous bridal looks and then keep scrolling for some current bridal designs that speak to their Oscar counterparts: Amy Adams with her feathered ball gown by Oscar de la Renta, Zooey Deschanel with her vintage inspired floral embroidered frock, Shaun Robinson in a crisp black and white gown, Jessica Chastain in her gold classic Hollywood styled gown by Giorgio Armani, Charlize Theron in a beautifully structured white peplum dress, Kristen Stewart’s lace sheath with a tulle train by Reem Acra, Alicia Vikander in an on-trend long sleeved gown by Elie Saab, Kristen Chenoweth in Tony Ward, and winner of the Best Actress Award…Jennifer Lawrence in Dior Haute Couture.

Sorry for the late post folks, it’s been a wacky sort of day. However, I think you will find it worth the wait.
Call me old fashioned, but I still love the unity candle ceremony. It brings two families together with active participation from both sides and who can resist the warm romantic glow of candlelight? This week I featured candlelit decor and to add to it, here are some super gorgeous unity candle sets and holders from the best of Etsy. There are a few beauties in that treasury from members of the Etsy Virtual Bridal Show Team: Forest Candle Studio, Henna Swirls, Pure Beauty Art, and Shabulous Chandeliers.
Speaking of the Etsy Virtual Bridal Show Team, today’s other treasury features swoon worthy red velvet creations and vintage finds all from members of the Etsy Virtual Bridal Show Team.
Enjoy the Etsy goodness, have a great weekend, and don’t forget to stop by tomorrow for the latest and greatest from the team!

Braids…from braided bangs for those with short hair to long fishtail plaits, it’s the trend on just about every 2013 bridal trends list. I’ve got two dozen lovely ‘dos for the bride looking for a traditional updo to waterfall braids for the boho lovers out there, and since this is me…you know I’ve got some edgier looks for us alternative folk. Have some fun with your look and don’t forget to schedule that hair trial!
