Bachelor parties have come a long way in the past few years. Many are getting away from the typical: go to a strip club and drink until you pass out on the night before the wedding party. If your groom really wants the conventional sort of do, then by all means go for it as long as it won’t invite the Drama Llama in to the mix.
For those who are looking for something different, take your groom’s likes and make a night of it. Is the groom a fan of fine cigars? Find a good cigar bar in town and arrange for a tour followed by some top shelf cigars for the groom and his friends. What about paint ball? Check your local fields and see if they can be reserved for a part of the day and spend the evening at your groom’s favorite restaurant. Make it all about your groom and you are sure to give him a great time with the friends and family he is closest to.
Today’s Theme Thursday is for a luxury loving Rat Pack sort of groom. This is definitely gonna set you back a few dollars, but if you have it, why not? Keeping true to the Rat Pack era, have a dress code with suits and ties. If you want to keep it authentic, slim fit suits are the way to go. Hire a classic 60s era limo for the night to be sure you are all drinking and partying safely. Then, head to a barber spa like The Art of Shaving and treat your groom to the total package. Follow that with dinner at a great Italian place (the one featured here is Venice Ristorante in Denver). Load up and check out a kick ass cigar lounge like The Robusto Room (Denver) pictured here. End the night with a real Rat Pack experience by finding out where Frank and the guys hung out while in your city. Frank Sinatra frequented the El Chapultepec Jazz Club here in Denver when he was in town.
Here’s a little board to get your gears turning as to how you can create a fabulous Rat Pack inspired night for your groom:
