Tips or Trends Tuesday: Trends: Origami

Good morning. Today’s Tips or Trends Tuesday is a trend that I have been noticing in the realm of wedding and event decor (and even clothing), the Japanese art of origami. The art of origami began in the 17th century at the latest. References to paper folding go back as far as 905 CE. In the past year or so, I have noticed origami details popping up in weddings, birthdays, and other social events.

Whether you DIY your origami (1,000 cranes) or purchase ready made pieces, it’s a trend that allows for bright pops of color, intricate detail, and modern clean lines. Here is a treasury filled with beautiful origami pieces you can purchase and an inspiration board to help you in how to utilize origami in the design of your special event.
