Wedding Wednesday: Peaches and Doilys

Today’s Wedding Wednesday was inspired by the wedding dress you see below. It’s a one of a kind vintage lace handmade dress from Ruby Chic Originals. “…At Ruby Chic we design handmade, eco-friendly, original clothing using mostly natural vintage fabric and materials. Our pieces are one of a kind, and are often made with rare, upcycled and recycled items… Each Ruby Chic piece is durably made to be cherished, loved, and handed down to the next generation. We strive to use natural fabrics that look and feel great on your skin, and are sensitive to the environment.”

About the dress: “This is a one of a kind dress that I designed and created using uniquely beautiful, upcycled, vintage cotton doilies, some of which are handmade. I carefully hand stitched them together using strong embroidery thread. It features a fitted sheath design with a flowering mermaid tail hemline.” Here is a direct link to the dress: OOAK Vintage Lace Handmade Dress.

FYI: I have sought permission from this vendor to use her photo of this dress as Etsy does not allow photos to be clipped. Please do not use this photo for personal gain or copy the design presented. This product is the livelihood, passion, and intellectual property of the artist and to copy these items or to use them for person gain is both highly unethical and in some cases is a violation of copyright law. This board is designed for inspiration only.

The rest of this inspiration board took it’s direction from the different tones featured in the dress and I settled on a pale peach. You will find everything from DIY doily mason jars to a beautiful doily inspired cake. Enjoy!
