Our Monday’s Finding this week comes from Kristi Delfino of the fabulous Luna and Chloe Weddings blog. In a guest post on the Celebrations at Home blog, Kristi has designed one of the cutest and most unique Save the Dates I have seen in a long while. Remember those balsa wood plane gliders? This DIY project uses those nostalgic little gems and is perfect for a destination wedding or for a couple of airplane enthusiasts.

In addition, for those who love this idea, but don’t want to DIY, Kristi will be selling custom versions of this project in her Etsy store beginning today.
I have had a love for peacocks ever since I was a little girl. For me, peacocks are not simply a design trend, but bring back fond memories of going with my family (typically on my birthday) to the San Diego Zoo. I remember being fascinated by their shiny feathers and bold colors and would follow them around hoping that one of them would drop a feather so that I could take it home. Peacocks have gone beyond a simple design trend and have become an event design staple. Today, I wanted to share some of my favorite peacock cakes that are a little outside the box. I hope you enjoy and have a wonderful weekend.

It’s been a while since I have done a baby shower theme and with the warming of the weather here in Colorado and the Spring approaching, I thought a bee baby shower might be fun to do. Phrases like “Cute As Can Bee,” “What Will It Bee,” “Mommy to Bee,” “Baby to Bee,” etc. are great starting points in putting together a baby shower that will keep your guests buzzing (pardon the pun, I just couldn’t help myself). Why not sit back, relax and let a planner create a memorable event for you and the mommy to be?

I created the post above for my mom when I found out she had liver cancer. Unfortunately, my beautiful mother is in the hospital with some complications and I’m missing her more than ever. It’s hard to be over 1,000 miles away from her right now and while I know my dad is taking great care of her, I want to be able to take care of them. My mom is more than a mom, she is my best friend (as is my dad) and they are both my heart. So, I hope that this little post will inspire you to give your parents and other loved ones a call and tell them that you love them. Tell them that you love them as often as you can.

Well, this morning I made a big mistake in posting what I thought was a trackback and giving credit to the original author etc. What I posted instead was her entire post with the trackback and credit. So, I made a HUGE beginner’s mistake and unfortunately offended the author. I am always one to own up to doing something stupid when I do it and I want to send a great big apology to Rock N Roll Bride for what happened.
For those of you beginning bloggers, don’t make the same mistake that I did. If you like someone’s content and are new to blogging, you need to preview your post before you publish it to make sure the entire article is not copied in to your post. I thought that by doing a trackback and giving credit that I was doing my due diligence and unfortunately, I hadn’t and I offended my favorite blogger.
Again, my apologies and I appreciate that you let me know that what I did was not okay. I learned a very valuable lesson today and am truly sorry for what happened.
Big apologies to @rocknrollbride. I didn’t mean to copy your article, but to trackback to it. My apologies.
