Friday’s Favorite Things: Buttercream Cakes

In the war of fondant vs. buttercream, I side with buttercream. Fondant has become the preferred method for covering cakes due to it’s smoothness and ability to be sculpted. However, good tasting fondant is a rarity and many people like the look, but not the taste. For me, there is nothing better than buttercream. In fact, I’m a frosting freak and for me, cake is the vehicle for frosting rather than the other way around. So, this Friday’s Favorite Things are beautiful buttercream wedding cakes.
