My college friend Diana and I share the same love (dare I say obsession?) for two of the best films ever made: Gone with the Wind and Wizard of Oz. Diana has always wanted to have an Oz themed wedding. So, I present this to her with love and hope that maybe she can eventually have a Wizard of Oz themed vow renewal.
Instead of the typical yellow brick road runner, I have yellow rose petals (I would add a ton more) down the ailse that is also flanked by red poppies. There is an updated version of Dorothy’s dress as well as some Louboutin ruby “slippers.” The amazing cake pictured illustrates a different character or theme from the movie in each tier. My favorite part of the set is the idea of the grand exit for the couple: a hot air balloon ala the Wizard.
